The
Rathskeller
Rathskeller (raths·kel·ler),
noun: A restaurant or tavern, usually below street level,
that serves beer
The
Rathskeller is an authentic German-style bar, located in the
basement of the Heidelberg. In keeping with tradition, you
have an assortment of quality German lagers and wheat beers
to choose from, as well as some American favorites. And, of
course, good company is never hard to find.
The room is sometimes rented for local Ann Arbor poetry slams
and can be used for banquets and parties as well. The Rathskeller
features its own menu, though
food and wine from the dining room are also available.
Come to the Rathskellar with your friends. We're told we
have the best juke box in Ann Arbor. And you can drink from
one of our 3-liter glass boots: Pass the boot around with
your friends, and the second to last to finish has to buy
the next round! Of course, if beer isn't what you're after,
our bar is fully stocked with a wide variety of liquor.
Boasting the best juke box in Ann Arbor, "the boot,"
great food, and fine beers, the Rathskeller is home to good
music, lively conversation, and some of the best times in
Ann Arbor. As it says above the door, "Dine, Drink, Dance,
and be Merry!"
Rathskeller Happy Hour: Monday-Friday, 4-7pm
Monday-Wednesday: Half-prized appetizers
Thursday: Free taco bar
Friday: Free hot wings and potato skins
